Necessity is the mother of invention. An old adage that applies to many areas of load handling. It has to be quick and it shouldn't cost anything. Unfortunately, the safety aspect often falls by the wayside with such individual solutions. The hope is that nothing will happen. And it has always worked out so far. But it doesn't always have to stay that way. A single accident with personal injury and the entrepreneur is in great need of an explanation. It is therefore essential to have a suitable partner at your side for all load handling issues within a value chain. This partner offers the right solution for every working environment. And yes, these solutions do exist. In a recent case, the customer has to lift copper pipe coils and turn them through 90°. A process that probably also occurs very frequently at other companies in everyday life. Until now, the customer has tied round slings together to turn the copper tube coils with their sensitive surface so that the coil can be inserted into the mandrel of the further processing machine. What safe solution is there for this challenge?

In cooperation with SpanSet, an existing drum lifting sling was adapted. The previously included lashing strap was replaced by a very short lifting strap. As the customer had a low working height, this challenge was also taken into account. In practice, the hanger with the lashing strap is placed around the reel and lashed down. The lifting strap of the hanger is hooked into the crane hook. The reel can now be safely tilted from horizontal to vertical without damaging the sensitive surface of the reel. The hanger fits snugly against the reel, preventing it from slipping. To ensure that the ratchet of the lashing strap does not damage the surface of the reel, it is also fitted with a PU pad.
In principle, yes. However, use on other loads should always be discussed in advance with the Carl Stahl specialist consultant.
The design in this case is 500 kg (1,102.31 lbs).
The hanger can be adapted to different diameters.
