Insight from one of our custom-made projects

In this project, the technical experts at the Location in Süßen (Germany) developed a pillar jib crane for the customer that had to offer a solution for the following challenges:

Adaptation to the spatial conditionsIn the project described above, the spatial conditions were particularly decisive. In order to have as much free space as possible in front of the machine, it had to be possible to mount the crane on the machine. This is the only way to ensure that there is still enough space for industrial trucks or automated material handling. Standard solutions are often only available with predefined dimensions and are therefore too long / short / large or small. The necessary flexibility to adapt to the spatial conditions is usually only offered by custom-made products.
Familiar work process: The crane should have the familiar functions so that the employees do not have to get used to the new crane and errors can creep in due to the adaptation of the work process. This meant that the changeover to the new crane could take place smoothly and without time-consuming adjustments to the work steps.
High load capacity and high work safety at the same time: The payload is essential for cranes. The crane should be able to lift the loads that are usually required for the area of application while remaining flexible and ensuring safety for the load, crane and employees. Oversized cranes often have the necessary equipment to handle heavy loads, but are often too bulky and therefore hinder the work steps. Individual design ideas: In addition to function and load capacity, visual aspects are just as important when choosing the right crane.
