The safe yet effective handling of round material such as coils, slit strips, wire rings, round blanks, drums, rolls, etc. is always a challenge. Be it in operational intralogistics during the manufacturing process, during further processing or during transportation by land, sea and rail through to storage. The high-quality material must not be damaged and people must not be endangered or even injured. As there are virtually no ready-made and, above all, certified systems available on the market, many companies that are at home in this sector have developed their own solutions. However, these special solutions often turn out to be inefficient, unsafe, impractical and, above all, have no certifications. For this reason, Carl Stahl offers a service with the coil and slit strip logistics process that provides customers with comprehensive advice and offers them the ideal system for their requirements (prerequisites). With the Carl Stahl coil handling load carrier system CSCH as the core solution for the entire coil and slit strip logistics process, Carl Stahl has a revolutionary and universal load carrier system that makes intralogistics and lean concepts faster, leaner and safer.
Step 1: A customer/prospective customer is interested in the CSCH transport and storage system portfolio.
Step 2: An on-site inspection is usually carried out to analyze the process at either a coil/split strip manufacturer or coil/split strip processor. An inventory and requirements analysis is carried out. This can also be offered to the customer in the form of documentation.
Step 3: If necessary, a PowerPoint presentation, application pictures or videos of the possible solutions will be made. Depending on this, the product selection/solution recommendation is then made, or a practical test with on-site instruction is arranged.
Step 4: Depending on the requirements (dimensions) and the result of the practical test, either a quotation for a standard CSCH solution or a combination of a prototype design and a customized CSCH solution is submitted if no standard solution is possible.
Step 5: Following the customer's decision in favor of the CSCH standard offer or the customer-specific design drawing approval, the customer order is placed.
Step 6: After delivery, an on-site briefing may take place. The customer always receives operating instructions with a declaration of conformity.
Step 7:Aftercare, such as checking the devices, is always provided in person.
